Chapter Twelve

I woke up when the sun started to rise, the feeling was that of burning, but it was ignored when I realized what I planned today, then I felt a deep and hollow sense of fear and worry.
I looked down, I could see Sol just walking up, the Pokémon I requested behind him. "Sol, you're early." I whispered to the wind, it made my heart soar to see him, but I quickly shook it off and jumped down to their little group, Moonshine was the first to notice me, and his eyes flared with anger and weariness.
"What is the meaning of this?! First you-" He started, shouting, I flicked my ear, signaling for him to be quiet, which outraged him, but he shut his mouth, Psyche looked at me with concern and curiosity.
I stood in front of them, and looked thankfully towards Sol.
"I have asked you here today, friends, family, because, the threat of this psychic Pokémon is too great to just wait out, they plan on conquering all of No Where! Today, I will give each of you instructions, and no matter what, I need you to follow through with them, no matter what happens, and swear it on your trainers." I demanded.
"We swear on the lives of Daemon and Angel." King and Queen murmured.
"We will obey every instruction you give us." Shine mumbled.
"Without pause or rest." Shade finished.
"No matter what happens." Psyche continued.
"No matter who falls." Moonshine said, his voice had a hint of sadness.
"We will obey, until we fall, we will obey, even if… even if you fall." Sol's eyes widened as he realized the point.
"We are at your command." They all said at once.
"You surly aren't going through with this, not without us at least." I heard a call, and was filled with doubt when Blaze and Splash came into view.
"I don't-"
"We can handle ourselves, and you may need back up." Blaze touched my head.
"Fine, then here is what we do, no objections, just do as you're told, none of us are heroes!" I snapped, and told them of my plans.

P.O.V. Change!
Sol
I looked at the brave, foolish shiny Umbreon, who looked pretty good in my scarf, not that I'd tell her that, she's in this whole 'captain/ commander' mode right now. I could feel my heart pounding, and hear my companions breathing, when we stepped through the door.
It wasn't the terrible abandoned school it should be, it was actually pretty nice, only, it looked like, the inside of a giant, gym.
"What's this?" Moonshine asked Luna.
"The Xatu made this world I guess, I think he may be recreating his old trainer's death, they died because they got sick, you know what to do!" She said quickly as the light came on she and the dark Pokémon disappeared, and Blaze and Splash who were outside, holding the exits, moved from the door way, and I was left with the older, powerful Espeon named Psyche, and King and Queen.
I looked back at the center floor, and there was a tea party there. The table was huge, but only hade eleven seats, when we stepped fully into the lights, more seats appeared.
"Welcome friends!" The Gallade and Gardevoir exclaimed, they placed King beside them, a Gothitelle, gestured for Queen to sit beside her, and I was left to sit on either side of a Girafarig. I casually took some tea from the center, and listened to the Xatu as he happily proclaimed his false message. He had no- No, wait, the entire point was to not think about it, one wrong thought…
"So, fair brothers and sisters, what brings you here?" the Medicham asked calmly.
"We're here to support your cause, we are quite tired with the drollness of the Dark types that terrorize and 'rule' our once peaceful little town." Psyche said, sipping her tea.
"Really? I thought I remembered seeing you with that meddlesome, barbaric, rude, terrible, ugly Umbreon?" the Medicham said to me, eyes questioning.
"I was, but only for my trainer's sake, if it were my decision, I wouldn't have been caught within the same region as that Umbreon, let alone city." I spoke with as much scorn as I could muster, which made it sound at least somewhat convincing.
"Ah, but we must never forsake our trainers, their will is our will." The Xatu said remorse deep into his voice.
"And, what about, your trainer, is this will theirs?" I ventured.
The Xatu grew very still, and stared at me, I could feel him trying to probe my thoughts, my motives, so I thought quickly of something to distract him, my second most thought was the one I chose, of Angel sleeping, protecting her at all costs.
"My trainer is dead." He said, and I felt his presence leave my mind, leaving the happy thoughts of Angel to myself.
"Come now younger cousins; let us help you… evolve." The Gallade, Gardevoir, and Gothitelle said, and King and Queen were suddenly gone, along with their evolved forms.
"What?!" I looked around frantically, but everyone else was calm, the Mr. Mime was passing out tea.
"Don't be worried brother, they'll be right back, they are just allowing them to evolve to their next forms." The Jinx said, her face was kind, but it frightened me.
And suddenly, they were back, only, King and Queen had evolved, they looked over their new forms, confused, but smiling.
"And when the time is right, you can use this." The Gallade handed a small side bag to the newly evolved Kirlia, he took it with gentle hands and smiled, an old distrust of the two settled again, but I could do nothing, but wait for the moment of truth.
I twitched my ears to listen to what Psyche was saying, the Espeon radiated power and prowess, every movement rippled with muscle, and that had nothing to do with her true powers.
Unlike me, she could easily talk without saying a word, but the only reason she was talking aloud, was so that the Pokémon's ears would focus on her.
I wonder briefly if I would ever be as strong and smart as she was, and I sighed.
"What troubles you son?" the Xatu's words sounding in my head made me jump, but no one laughed.
"I wonder if I would ever truly be half as powerful as any of you." I said solemnly.
"Don't worry brother, one day, you may surpass even me." The Gardevoir said, all Pokémon agreed in turn.
"You have no idea how much your presence means to us, we have yet to secure points within the city, but you joining us has changed that." The Alakazam said his voice boastful and loud.
The Pokémon murmured their agreement, and began having casual conversation, talking freely of plans and goals, Mr. Mime was happily distributing tea and cookies and little sandwiches that were just delicious, and the tea, it was to die for, how did they make it so wonderfully delicious?
"Secret recipe, very, hush hush." The Hypno waggled his finger, and the walls that I was steadily building in my mind were finished and up raised, splitting my secret thoughts from the more casual thoughts around me, in this moment of peace, with nothing seemingly troublesome, I had forgotten those walls, but reality crashed around me, when I realized, they could hear me.
"Don't worry, you'll learn to get used to it, it's a symbol of brotherhood and sisterhood." The Girafarig spoke for once, I looked over at him, and saw that my tail was dangerously close to that gaping mouth on his tail, and snatched it back, he didn't look at me apologetically, he didn't even notice.
I continued the light conversation, growing anxious, when the entire tea party was settled into a purple glow, I looked over to see Psyche trying to control the Pokémon around us, I took initiative and used helping hand, enabling her to bend the metal chairs to trap the Pokémon around us, none could escape, but the Xatu angrily shook his chair away.
"We welcome you and this is how you repay me?! Well, I'll make sure none of you leaves this place again!" He called, and the chairs just as easily as blinking, disappeared, leaving the once trapped Pokémon, free, and furious.
King and Queen stood back to back, and I stood beside Psyche, my eyes grew wide, as I thought how hopeless this would be.
"Sol! Psyche! If I were you, I'd step back!" King and Queen shouted together, the still stood back to back, hands clasped together, and they started to spin, it was awkward to watch at first, but then they spun faster and faster, I looked at Psyche and saw her eyes widen.
"Get down!" She screeched, pushing me to the ground as they used psybeam. We laid flat on the ground, our eyes pressed shut tightly, and we waited until we thought it was over.
When we opened our eyes, the Xatu had apparently flown off before hand, and only one of the remaining ten was confused, I looked around for our back up, and was relieved to see Moonshine, Shine, and Shade racing towards us. They immediately joined the fray, and we fought together.
I snapped my head into battle mode, and came face to face with the Girafarig's tail. It snapped at me, and I used swift, to get the main body of the Girafarig's attention, and then I backed up a few paces and used quick attack, he flew across the room and landed sickly against a wall, his eyes showed common signs of fainting, he was done.
I raced forward, running into the Medicham, but then Shade slammed into him, using aerial ace. The Medicham tried to rise, but Shade used pursuit and he fainted, and I began helping King fight off the Gallade, attacking furiously, and we had him clearly beat when I stopped, undeterred, King finished off his hope to be evolved form, and he went to help attack the Gardevoir.
I looked around, finally noticing the final piece of the puzzle my dearest friend had made… Where… is… Luna?
